Re: Flatpak???
Wow! I totally missed this post! Very well worded and you have my understanding and my attention. Sadly, I program about as badly as I weld. But if I knew python well enough I'd love to help out, I so would. As an every-day linux user, I feel pretty spoiled with applications like BA... to the point ...

Re: How to Package?
https://docs.appimage.org/packaging-gui ... image.html
What obstacles would prevent us from putting BA into an appimage?
Looks like its a YAML file and running it through something like 'pkg2appimage'.
There are even options to 'pretend' certain dependencies are met!

Re: How to Package?
I considered having users add the Lunar (23.04) repository but if they do and then later do a simple "apt upgrade" it will install about 1200 "to new" updates and break their system in a 100 ways.  This is such a Linux thing! Actually, isn't there a way to write a bas...

Re: Linux BA 5.41 does not like dark theme
Yeah, there are no dark themes (nor any themes at all) to my knowledge for BA.
... But, then, remember...
Psalms 119:105 & 2 Peter 1:19... God's Word is light. (which is kinda hard to dark-theme.)

Re: Bible Analyzer 5.4 beta (Linux)
Just for the 'in-the-meantime' record, BA 5.4 seems to work fine on Mint LMDE 5 & Linux Mint 20.3. (anything newer than this and I run into the already-mentioned issues.) A quick: wget https://www.bibleanalyzer.com/bibleanalyzer_5.4-1_all.deb dpkg -i bibleanalyzer_5.4-1_all.deb sudo apt-get inst...

Re: Ubuntu Linux - Version 5.2.1 Issue
Which version of Pop are you using? I'm using BA 5.4.0.5 (Beta) on Pop_OS 20.04 and am having great success. (only minor issue with Pop's GNOME interfering with the 'search' function on the tool bar at the top. Using the Unity Desktop environment eliminates this issue, and it only seems to exist on ...

Re: Bible Analyzer 5.4 beta (Linux)
I am running the beta on Ubuntu Groovy Gorilla. There is a lot of flashing and the KJV-dramatized will not work, but the KJV-non-dramatized does work. Are the individual windows flashing when they are updated/refreshed or is the entire screen flashing. Also, are you using Ubuntu on Wayland, specifi...
