Re: Linux/Ubuntu 4.5 Beta
Even though the Quick Reference Window is working now -- if I have parallel bibles up, it does not work. Now I'm wondering, inasmuch as I have now decent Hebrew and Greek fonts, should I think that I can buy the Word Study Bundle and the Hebrew and Greek dictionaries will come up nice, as well as th...

Re: Linux/Ubuntu 4.5 Beta
OK, here is the command I used that worked, thank you -- sudo mv ~/Desktop/'k&d.cmt' /usr/share/bibleanalyzer/modules/commentary The k&d has very decent Greek and Hebrew fonts. No Massoretic pointing and only the accent mark on the Greek, but it is still quite sufficient. I wonder how it com...

Re: Linux/Ubuntu 4.5 Beta
The quick reference window now works. How did that happen? I went to commentary, and it worked there. And when I returned to bible, it worked. On closing and reopening, it worked, but once it did not, and I went to commentary again, and it worked on returning to bible. Sometimes on closing BA, a scr...

Re: Linux/Ubuntu 4.5 Beta
I tried to install k&d as follows -- sudo mv ~/Desktop/k&d.cmt /usr/share/bibleanalyzer/modules/commentary The response was -- [1] 3283 d.cmt: command not found [1]+ Stopped sudo mv ~/Desktop/k So I tried to install the henry commentary as follows -- sudo mv ~/Desktop/henry.cmt /usr/share/b...

Re: Linux/Ubuntu 4.5 Beta
When I installed the Beta, first I removed the original BA I already had. However, I moved the BA file from Documents to the Desktop. So... putting files in the BA folder in Documents does not do anything for Ubuntu 12.04 and Unity. However, I did move a bible into the program using -- sudo mv ~/Des...

Re: Linux/Ubuntu 4.5 Beta
I tried sudo mv ~/Desktop/*.bib /usr/share/bibleanalyzer/modules/Bible and the file went somewhere but only God knows where. It does not turn up with search and neither does /usr/share/bibleanalyzer/modules/Bible. The file does not appear with opening BA. Also, putting the files in the BA folder in ...

Re: Linux/Ubuntu 4.5 Beta
I am using Unity in Ubuntu 12.04 In a terminal, in using gksu nautilus, I get the following response -- Nautilus could not create the required folder "/root/.config/nautilus" Before running Nautilus, please create the following folder, or set permissions such that Nautilus can create it. I...

Re: Linux/Ubuntu 4.5 Beta
I have been using Ubuntu 12.04 for about a week, and that is what I am testing on now. (I could test on 10.04 or Xubuntu 12.04, but I'm just not for now). I cannot install any modules. To find the file Tim referenced, I first had to install Gnome search using the terminal (finding a command on Googl...

Re: Linux/Ubuntu 4.5 Beta
I downloaded the Beta and will be installing it soon, if not today. Everyone should be praying in agreement on the success of this release. I am particularly interested in having the "go to" verse finder work and the Greek and Hebrew fonts. The Pickering NT is a great addition. Surely, we ...

KJV Church Words Controversy
In advocating modern versions, it seems a popular argument is, that as the KJV was "authorized" by the King and head of the Anglican Church, undue influence was exerted on the translators to have their work reflect the ecclesiology of the Church of England. Therefore, for instance, the tra...
