Re: Using the Parallel Bibles Feature
I cannot find another av.bib file. I did a search using the OS search tool, and the av1769 came up, but nothing under av1611.bib, or av1769s.bib, or just av. So there is something weird. Another thing I did different is that I installed under shane2peru's ppa. In May, most likely, I'll go to Ubuntu ...

Re: Using the Parallel Bibles Feature
As a matter of record, I post now the results of following the instructions for bible position in parallel viewing. To keep the experiment simple, I removed all bibles from the module folder except AV1769, Geneva, Bishops, Tyndale. Without name changes they appeared in the parallel viewer in the ord...

Using the Parallel Bibles Feature
I want to do a parallel bible study of the Tyndale, Geneva, Bishops, and King James bibles to determine the influence of prior bibles on the King James, and in general these translations in succession, but especially to discern Tyndale's influence on bible translation and Shakespeare. What better so...

Re: KJ2000
Yes, the AV is definitely anointed, and that begs the question, why is that so? Before answering this question, perhaps, another should be considered – in what manner are words anointed? But that poses another question – how do words have power? I know what people from the Word of Faith Movement wo...

Re: KJ2000
Tim, Actually, your response is interesting. Do you at BA hold that the Greek or Hebrew text is the pure word of God? Just curious. I only hold that the KJV is anointed, not inspired, staying with the traditional Protestant position on translations. However, I think the KJV is the most anointed bibl...

KJ2000
I downloaded the KJ2000 in BA, which was my introduction to this version. Basically, I like the Bible, though I do not think it is as good as the KJV ER. At times it is more than an updating of language but a change in wording, although I have not found anything particularly significant so far. Howe...

Re: Ubuntu ppa repository for testing
OK, I've used the program a little bit -- it is a very nice improvement, but there were some problems. First, let me note that BA does appear in Documents and it has the config4.ini file. However, the BA file is still present in the Home folder. To get all the modules I had, I had to move the module...

Re: Ubuntu ppa repository for testing
Shane,
I pasted this command in the terminal --
sudo apt-get install python-configobj
Stuff got installed.
Now, BA opens and works. Looks like a pretty impressive layout. I'll check it out soon in more detail.
Problem solved.

Re: Ubuntu ppa repository for testing
Bible Analyzer 4 changed the location of stuff, it is no longer in .bibleanalyzer it is located in Documents/BibleAnalyzer So they shouldn't have conflicted. Shane I don't have Documents/BibleAnalyzer Did you see my post at the end of page two, on the results of the commands you told me to try? Paul

Re: Ubuntu ppa repository for testing
No, I did not have config4.ini -- not before, not now. Just config.iniTim wrote:One thing to remember, The config file for v4 is "config4.ini." "Conig.ini" is only for v3 series.
