Re: Bible Analyzer 4.6 in Ubuntu Software Center
Yes, one has to be root. There should be a way to run the file manager as root. I use Xubuntu/xfce so my way may not work for you. Well, with the last Beta testing, we used sudo commands in the terminal to move things. However, when I mentioned that in this thread, and asked what the commands look ...

Re: Bible Analyzer 4.6 in Ubuntu Software Center
Well, I went to File System, USR, Share, Bible Analyzer and copied the Modules folder. I pasted it into Ubuntu One. That much worked fine. However, on going back to the Bible Analyzer folder, I found there was no past option. I think one has to be root to do that. So as far as I can understand, the ...

Re: Bible Analyzer 4.6 in Ubuntu Software Center
OK... so to do a review, I have to uninstall BA, and then install from the software center. But if I uninstall, then I remove all my modules. And if I reinstall, then I cannot install my paid modules, like K&D or the Greek bible, because they are .bib and .cmt, and now the modules can only be in...

Re: Bible Analyzer 4.6 in Ubuntu Software Center
However, my installations of BA were through the software center, after downloading from the BA website. I just tried to do a review, but it was not possible due to the point of origin being unknown. Thus, I guess I have to uninstall BA and then reinstall through the software center entry. However, ...

Re: Linux/Ubuntu 4.6.5 Beta
I have this old 32 bit computer that I keep around to run old magnificent printers. Hmm... but it runs great, and i think it is a lot better than 64 bit, even in Windows. So I just installed Ubuntu 12.04 on it (which is actually the best OS for old machines it seems), and then I put in BA just now. ...

Re: Linux/Ubuntu 4.6.5 Beta
If (when) BA is accepted in the Ubuntu Software Center, I just wonder how the Adamic nature might work. There could be jealousy, and that could lead to some interesting reactions... like not telling the truth about the program. If so, any response to such circumstances must be completely spiritual. ...

Re: Linux/Ubuntu 4.6.5 Beta
Now I am using the Dual Window, and there are other problems. First, I set up a layout, AV with TRI, Bible tree present. I saved the lay-out. It was nice being able to click to it. (I wonder how I could start up with that default). However, after I tested it a few times, it came up AV and Scripture ...

Re: Linux/Ubuntu 4.6.5 Beta
I figured out how to use the Dual Window. First, one has to go to default lay out, and then click Dual Window. Then, close the Dictionary and Commentary windows. It always works and it works fine. However, if one is just in the Bible window, and the Dual Window icon is clicked, a settings panel come...

Re: Linux/Ubuntu 4.6.5 Beta
The second window of the dual viewer is in the Results Window. We are looking at changing its location to the Ref Panel in 4.7. Then, I would say the dual viewer is not working on my computer. I just tried it repeatedly, and twice I got a results window with the 2nd bible, but usually I did not get...

Re: Linux/Ubuntu 4.6.5 Beta
I updated the BA in my Xubuntu OS to the Beta. It worked just perfectly -- everything. Or should I say everything, assuming that the Dual Window viewer does not work because I never understood it. I cannot get that to work, but I don't know that I ever could.
