I've managed to get this to work. What was missing with respect to python-espeak, was python-distutils-extra.

For the reference of others, these were the included dependencies:

• python
• python-wxpython
• python-mutagen
• python-lxml
• python-configobj
• python-pillow
• python-espeak
• webkit2gtk-4.1

This was needed for python-espeak to successfully install:

• python-distutils-extra
