Hi Tim,
I hope you're doing well. I'm having an issue with unresponsive commentaries that would not go to the selected verse in the Bible.
I downloaded the latest available version, MacOS 565 and it's still happening. I tried the older 5.5 and the problem's still there.
The first thing i noticed was, if i dragged the app to my secondary screen, the app would crash when i clicked a bible verse number. It doesn't do that on the primary screen—and then noticed the commentaries wouldn't match. Further, if a Bible verse is selected it won't change to it, until after i shut down and refreshed the app. The previous chosen verse would appear in the commentaries—but again, would not move from there.
Thanks, as always.

Re: Selected verses in Bible not correct in Commentary
That is, when you click a verse ref. the commentary will not update to the ref ever, or only sometimes?
If not, can you give me the steps from a fresh Bible Analyzer start to duplicate the issue?

Re: Selected verses in Bible not correct in Commentary
All the time Tim.
On fresh restart, without selecting anything, the verse Mark 5:2 is highlighted—the commentaries show Mark 4:3. Selecting new verses, they remain on Mark 4:3.
I selected Acts 1:1 and closed.
On restart, it opened to Acts 1:1—I selected Romans 1:1, but the commentaries stay on Acts 1:1
Thanks.

In the Commentary window, the toolbar has icons. Some of them function like toggle switches, turning the function on or off if they are clicked.RobyB wrote: ↑Sat Jun 28, 2025 2:27 amOn fresh restart, without selecting anything, the verse Mark 5:2 is highlighted—the commentaries show Mark 4:3. The fourth icon from the left shows a document with a chain link in front of it. Click it to link the commentary with the currently highlighted verse in the Bible window.
When the link is ON, it will show as a dark blue background with a slim border around it, and selecting a new Bible verse will cause the commentary to sync with the BIble reference. When the link is OFF, the darker background will disappear, and changing the Bible reference will not change the Commentary location. (Caveat: The background color of my Commentary panel is blue. This can be changed from the menubar by selecting "Control > Preferences > Appearance > Background Colors". Adjust to fit your situation.)

Thanks for your help!
That worked for me straight away. It must have been my fault, accidentally turning it off.
